Femoral Hip Stem BioPro® PSL Horizontal Platform Support Stands the Test of Time
The BioPro® Physiologically Stress Load Hip Stem provides the ultimate design in Hip Joint Replacement. The BioPro® implant is designed to be physiologically stress loaded and incorporates a collar that is at an angle perpendicular to the resultant forces of body weight and muscle forces. The design eliminates adaptive bone remodeling and stress shielding which is a known cause of bone loss following joint replacement. The time tested design comes in porous coated and non-porous coated versions in two different lengths and thirteen sizes. The PSL is a very successful stem showing outstanding long term resuts.

Resurfacing BioPro® Total Articular Replacement Arthroplasty Conservative Joint Replacement
The BioPro® Total Articular Replacement Arthroplasty utilizes the advantages of ceramic bearing surfaces. This conservative bone preserving prosthesis can be used as a hemi-arthorplasty or a total arthroplasty. The implant requires the resection of one third of the femoral head. Preserving the maximum amount of bone possible. It is an excellent option for avascular necrosis or arthritis of the hip where the acetabular cartilage is still in good condition. The implant provides patients with an excellent option over conventional hip replacement. In the event that total replacement is necessary in the future the minimum resection required for the Biopro implant allows for sufficient bone stock for conversion to a primary total hip.
Ceramic resurfacing is currently unavailable in the United States.
