Hip Stem
BioPro® PSL
Horizontal Platform Support Stands the Test of Time
The Biopro Physiologically Stress Load Hip Stem provides
the ultimate design in Hip Joint Replacement. The Biopro
implant is designed to be physiologically stress loaded
and incorporates a collar that is at an angle perpendicular
to the resultant forces of body weight and muscle forces.
The design eliminates adaptive bone remodeling and stress
shielding which a known cause of bone loss following
joint replacement. The time tested design comes in porous
coated and non-porous coated versions in two different
lengths and thirteen sizes. The PSL is a very successful
stem showing outstanding long term resuts.

BioPro® Optima
Utilizing a Horizontal Platform Support
The Biopro Optima Stem provides a low cost option
in Hip Joint Replacement. The Optima implant is designed to
be physiologically stress loaded and incorporates a collar
that is at an angle perpendicular to the resultant forces
of body weight and muscle forces. The design eliminates adaptive
bone remodeling and stress shielding which a known cause of
bone loss following joint replacement.

BioPro® Total Articular Replacement
Arthroplasty
Conservative Joint Replacement
The Biopro Total Articular Replacemnt Arthoplasty
utilizes the advantages of ceramic bearing surfaces. This
conservative bone preserving prosthesis can be used as a hemi-arthorplasty
or a total arthroplasty. The implant requires the resection
of one third of the femoral head. Preserving the maximum amount
of bone possible. It is an excellent option for avascular
necrosis or arthritis of the hip where the acetabular cartilage
is still in good condition. The implant provides patients
with an excellent option over conventional hip replacement.
In the event that total replacement is necessary in the future
the minimum resection required for the Biopro implant allows
for sufficient bone stock for conversion to a primary total
hip.

Component
BioPro® Cox Comb Cup
Greater Range of Motion Reduced Dislocation
The Biopro Cox Comb Cup is a low profile acetabular
component that provides immediate mechanical fixation. The
cup feature and fin and low profile design allow for optimum
stability with or without screws. The patented cup insert
has a snap lock mechanism that utilizes a unique hood that
minimize dislocation. The side cut outs allow for maximum
range of motion. The peripheral feet prevent any protrusion
into the acetabulum after implantation.

BioPro® Providence Cup
Simple and Conservative
The Providence Cup is a low profile cup which
requires minimum bone resection. It has standard and 10 degree
lipped cups to help reduce dislocation risk. The implant is
made of titanium with porous coated beads.
